July in ABQ, What’s Happening?

You'll have to go to the west coast to catch them live, but Morgan Neville's profile of Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble, showing at the Guild Cinema this month, should be pretty cool. You also get a crack at Elia Kazan's On the Waterfront on the Kimo Theater's big screen. And, as usual, there is some great live music to be had and heard, so scroll on down...

Haven’t reached the Dog Days yet, but it sure feels like it. Here are some cool things to do this month. We hope you’ll be able to check out a few of these great options.

Hitchcock and Bogart,  July 1st through August 5th – KiMo Theater – Misc $$  As usual the KiMo is showing a bunch of cool flicks, including Hitchcocks and Bogarts, some with three show passes at a nice discount. Also showing will be the Kazan/Brando classic On the Waterfront, 7/30- 7/31. See some classics on the big screen they were built for and enjoy a cool, dark theater on a hot, bright day.
